1. Choosing a Building Site.
Selecting a building site for your new custom home is as important as selecting the
home itself; not only must the location accommodate your lifestyle and career, it should be a reflection of your personality. It should also benefit the style of home you have imagined.
Cypress Custom Homes, LLC offers several prime home sites for sale each year in the Metropolitan Area. We also are considerate of things that today’s homeowners are seeking in where they live, whether it is schools, shopping, medical facilities, or just peace of mind.
Should you wish to build on your own existing site, we will provide a complimentary evaluation of the side. We can also advise you of zoning regulations. If you choose, we can help you locate a building site for your purchase.
Once your site has been chosen, but prior to purchasing, Cypress will evaluate the property to give a preliminary estimate on development. Too often, parcels of land are sold with no prior knowledge to the buyer of possible further expenses to prepare the land for construction. Our family has much experience in developing land; therefore, we can assist our clients in this phase.

2. Choosing a Home.

designs are extremely varied, with almost limitless architectural styles – Traditional
and Contemporary, plus much, much more. Many clients find an inspirational starting
point this way, and then work with us to modify and customize the plan.
Bring us your Architect’s Plans – the Cypress Custom Homes, LLC team partners with you and your Architect from the beginning of the process, for a hands-on team approach. We will work with you to ensure that the home you have selected is right for your building site. If you currently have a work in progress with an Architect and choose Cypress Custom Homes, LLC as your builder, we will also consult with your architectural firm.
Simply bring us your ideas. We have worked hand-in-hand with our local Architect for 12 years, and he will gladly work with you to create your new home plans and coordinate your design goals with your intended budget for a minimal investment.
Too often, people purchase plans from the Internet, only to find out later that much of the construction does not meet local county codes, then having the plans re-drawn by a local architect, only to spend more money. By bringing your ideas, we can avoid that headache. We have a cost-effective program which will allow you to design and modify your house until you are thoroughly satisfied. 3. Budget and Financing.
Once you have approved the design of your home, we will calculate a “preliminary budget”. Then, once you have approved the final construction plans, an engineer plots the home on the site along with the accompanying grading plan, and a building permit is ordered. We will design a budget for your home based on your needs and will know the cost of building your home before we ever break ground.
We have a preferred lender which is a local company that will be there to assist you as the construction process evolves. First Funding, Inc. is a mortgage company that you can deal with face-to-face.
4. Building Your Home.
Upon the approval of your final budget, Cypress Custom Homes, LLC will finalize the permitting and begin construction. Your primary contact during the building of your home is the Director of Marketing and Sales, Steve Belinky; he is one of our clients’ most trusted liaisons. Each of our sites has a designated Construction Manager overseeing daily operations. He carefully monitors construction and quality control, and clients have praised our site managers for their genuine interest and enthusiasm for building their homes.
Our hand-chosen tradespeople, craftsmen and suppliers have worked with Cypress Custom Homes, LLC for years, and our long-standing relationships with them are based on their attention to excellence and efficiency.
While there are many factors that govern the completion time for each new home, the following timeframes can serve as a general guide for the length of the process:
- Design Stage - 1 to 2 months
- Preliminary Budget - 1 to 2 weeks
- Final Review of Drawings - 1 week to 1 month
- Final Pricing - 1 to 2 weeks
- Building Permits - Varies from county to county, approximately 4 months
- Actual Construction - Varies with the size and complexity of the home, approximately 6 to 8 months
- Total – 8 months to 1 year
